Allow Us to Reintroduce Ourselves

We’re Vista: THE business resource for plaintiff law firms.

You know that feeling when you run into someone you have known for years, but you realize you have never actually explained what you do for a living? They think you "do something with computers" or "work in law," and you just let it ride because correcting them feels exhausting.

Sometimes, as an organization, you can find yourself there, too. So, we're Vista.

Please allow us to reintroduce ourselves.

We have been in this industry for more than 15 years. We have spent countless hours in the trenches with plaintiff personal injury firms across the country. And yet, every week, someone says to me, "Wait, you do THAT, too?" So, in the spirit of fresh starts and clearing up confusion, allow us to reintroduce ourselves. Meet Vista, everything we actually do, and why right now is a genuinely smart time to pick up the phone.

So, Who Exactly Is Vista?

Let me start with what we are NOT. We are not slick consultants who fly in, drop a generic report on your desk, collect a fat check, and disappear before you can ask a follow-up question. We are not the guru with a trademarked tagline and zero implementation plan. And we are most certainly not pompous or arrogant. (Nobody has ever accused us of that, and frankly, we would be offended if they did.)

Vista is THE business resource for plaintiff personal injury law firms. Our entire reason for existing is to help you run a business that happens to practice law. Some of the most brilliant trial attorneys in the country are running their firms on instinct, caffeine, and sheer force of will. That works right up until it doesn't. (And, trust us, when it doesn't...it REALLY doesn't.)

Our team has more than a century's worth of combined experience across accounting, operations, technology, HR, talent, culture, and leadership. We have seen the wildly successful firm, the scrappy startup, and the firm quietly drowning while smiling for the camera. That range matters because it means we have rarely encountered a problem we have not already helped someone untangle.

A Quick Tour of What We Actually Do

People are often surprised by how much ground we cover. We are a bit of a Swiss Army knife that way. So let's walk through the service lines, and you can decide which ones make you sit up a little straighter.

Needs Assessment

This is where most relationships with us begin, and for good reason. We come in, we spend real time with your firm, and we get to know your culture, your team members, and your workflow. Then, we hand you real talk about what is working, what is broken, and what is quietly costing you money.

Fair warning: If our assessment doesn't make you a little uncomfortable, we haven't done our job. We are not here to tell you what you want to hear. We are here to tell you what you NEED to hear.

Ongoing Consulting

An assessment is a great roadmap, but a roadmap does not drive the car. This is where we become your accountability partner, working alongside you and your team to actually implement changes and projects. Think of us as a co-pilot. We do not just point at the mountain and wish you luck. We climb it with you.

Intake Services

First impressions are everything, and intake is where you win or lose cases before they ever become cases. We help you build a seamless, professional intake process that leaves potential clients feeling heard and confident. We will also dig into your current practices and find the leaks, because there are almost always leaks.

Strategic Planning

Success is not an accident. It is the result of knowing where you are going and building a real plan to get there. We work closely with you to define clear objectives, devise smart strategies, and map out the actual steps. No vision boards or pixie dust required.

Fractional CFO

You may not need a full-time CFO, but you absolutely need CFO-level thinking. Our Fractional CFO service gives you top-tier financial expertise without the top-tier salary. We help you understand your numbers, manage cash flow, and make decisions based on data instead of gut feel. Which brings me to a point I will hammer again later: If you cannot answer basic questions about your own financials, that is a problem we should talk about.

Leadership

One of the biggest holes we have seen in the market is firms promoting good people into leadership positions, but giving them no training on being a good leader! We developed a 12 week program to help align your leadership team and get your leaders the skills and thought processes they need to succeed.

Succession Planning

The future is coming whether you have planned for it or not. Our succession planning service helps you prepare for leadership transitions so your firm's legacy continues without a five-alarm scramble. This is one of those things everyone agrees is important and almost nobody actually does. Be the exception.

Mergers & Acquisitions

This is where things get especially relevant right now (hold that thought). We guide you through every stage of a deal, from preparation to evaluation to execution to post-transaction support. We have been in the trenches with firms going through these conversations, and having an experienced partner in your corner changes everything about how the process unfolds.

Okay, But Why Engage Now?

Fair question. You have made it this far without us, so why pick up the phone today? A few very good reasons.

The Private Equity and MSO Shift Is Real

If you have been paying attention, you know the ground beneath plaintiff PI is moving fast. Private equity and MSO structures are no longer a rumor or a far-off "someday." Capital has entered the space, and it is not leaving. We are fielding calls from firms asking how to position themselves, and calls from investors asking which firms are worth a look.

You cannot get your house in order the week a buyer comes knocking. The firms that can move fast when opportunity strikes are the ones that did the unglamorous work ahead of time. If a real opportunity landed on your desk next month, could you produce clean financials, documented operations, and a leadership team that functions without you in the room? If that question made you wince, that is exactly why now matters.

Operational Mess Is Quietly Costing You Money

This is the one that keeps me up at night on behalf of firm owners. When your operations are a mess, you are losing money, and the truly painful part is that you usually have no idea it is happening. It slips out through inefficient intake, sloppy follow-up, redundant work, missed deadlines, and team members spinning their wheels on things a good process would have solved.

Shoring up your operations is not an expense. It is an investment that pays dividends for years. Every dollar you stop leaking is a dollar that goes straight back to serving clients and growing your firm.

Leadership and Clean Systems Are the Whole Foundation

Whether you ever sell, merge, or simply want to take a two-week vacation without your phone buzzing off the nightstand, the fundamentals are the same. A real leadership team that can make decisions without you. Clean financial reporting you actually trust. Systems that give you one source of truth instead of three spreadsheets that disagree with each other.

These are not just things that make you attractive to capital. They are what make your firm resilient, scalable, and genuinely enjoyable to own. The good news is that the checklist for "investor-ready" looks almost identical to the checklist for "really well-run firm." Do the work once, and you win either way.

Let's Get Reacquainted

So there you have it. The reintroduction, the full tour, and the honest pitch.

We understand and appreciate each operation's individuality, so we will never try to cram your firm into a box. We will get to know who you are, where you have been, and where you want to go. Then, we will roll up our sleeves and help you get there. We can make you laugh while we help your firm grow, and we will tell you the truth even when it stings a little.

The elements, the culture, the personalities, the processes, the technology…they all present a special set of challenges for a personal injury firm. We get those challenges because it is genuinely all we do.

If any of this struck a nerve, that is a good sign. The smartest move you can make is to start with a Needs Assessment, so you know exactly where your firm stands and where the gaps are hiding. Reach out, let's talk, and let's get your house in order before you need it to be.

The time is now. Let's get reacquainted.

Oh, and don’t call it a comeback.  We’ve been here for (16) years!
